Product Q&A
This unit is refillable using the recommended calcium carbonate refill bag, part number 54-22120-01.
1950 CFM max per the specification sheets. The 5 in the part number designates 5 tons of cooling capable. 3/4HP motor.
The outdoor unit has a variable speed compressor (inverter) which will modulate the heating and cooling capacity down to half capacity. So for example, on a 2-ton (24,000 Btu) system the heating and cooling can modulate down to 12,000 Btu's per hour based on lighter load conditions. The air handling unit has a multi-speed blower with a brushless DC motor. The motor being DC is much more efficient than a PSC motor and is single-speed constant volume.
The FLEXX indoor and outdoor units are pre-charged with R410A refrigerant. The amount of refrigerant included is noted on the products label. Typically, the indoor and outdoor unit is charged to handle a 25' line set. During installation, only the line set will need a vacuum. Additional refrigerant may be needed if the line set exceeds 25'.
